Kambree is a sweet, fun loving 7 year old true country girl! Kambree loves animals, fishing, and swimming in her mermaid tail. What more could a little girl ask for? :)
Kambree's mom responded to a model call that I put out looking for a princess to wear the newest addition to my client closet! I just added the Chandler Dress to my client closet, another amazing dress from Bentley and Lace.
I created Kambree's session at the Texas Discovery Gardens and we had such a blast exploring!
The Chandler dress was more than perfect for this amazing spring session! It was a gorgeous day outside and the spring flowers were all in bloom.
Kambree brought along her current favorite dress to shoot in as well! This dress was designed by Olena But. The red skirt and gold crop top were perfect against the natural backdrop made of blooming flowers and deep green foliage.
It is always such a pleasure when a session lives up to what I envisioned in my mind! Thank you Kambree for modeling and making these dresses come to life before my camera!
I was so honored to get to work with these two beautiful models! I first had the pleasure of photographing Blake at the Texas Discovery Gardens and Leonhardt Lagoon in Fair Park. Blake is wearing the stunning Bokeh dress from Bentley and Lace, one of my favorite designers! It was amazing getting to shoot in the butterfly house and the secret garden! It was a challenge to walk on the Leonhardt Lagoon sculptures in this amazing dress, but Blake handled it so well. I was able to get the shots I had been dreaming of, and we had a lot of fun watching the turtles hang out by the cypress trees.
The second model I got to work with is Kennedy! We shot at Dragon Park which is a small, tranquil, privately owned garden in the middle of the city. Dragon Park is owned by Mark Mahan who also owns Select Salon Dallas across the street from the park. Though this garden is small, it is chocked full of gorgeous sculptures, flowering plants and trees, and fountains. All of those things made it the ideal spot to capture photos of Kennedy wearing a Bentley and Lace gown.
The black and gold Emily gown was perfect for the mood of the garden. I loved how glamorous Kennedy looked in black. Black is a color that most people aren’t fond of on young girls but it was definitely my favorite! The Emily gown is now part of my collection and will be added to my client closet!
We also brought the Bentley and Lace Bloom dress which paired perfectly with my Spring Fairy Headpiece. I hand make all of the headpieces seen in my photos. The detail on this dress is INCREDIBLE! She looked like a spring princess on Easter weekend!
Last but not least, we paired the Bentley and Lace Tillie skirt with this adorable top from Airfish. I just loved this combination and we had a blast with that super flowy skirt. This shoot was truly magical!
The Shoot & Share contest is a free contest where photographers from all over the world submit up to 50 of their favorite photos from the past year to 25 different categories. These images are then voted on by your peers in groups of four. Voting is completely anonymous, which ensures that the images are being voted for because of their quality and not based on who took the photo! A total of 412,379 Images were submitted this year! This was my first year to participate, it was really exciting and my son loved to help me vote. We even stayed up FAR beyond his bedtime several times because we were addicted to voting! Seeing so many different images, visions, styles and artists in one place was super inspiring.
One of my favorite wedding reception images made it to the finalist round which is the top 3.1% in all of the categories! One of my styled shoot portraits made it to the ͞Best of the Best͟, top 100 photos in that category! I am so happy that I finally decided to enter this year, I can’t wait until next year’s contest! I love seeing improvement in my work, every year will only be more amazing. Thank you to all of the clients who make my dream come true. This blog post will be dedicated to showing some of my favorite images that I entered this year.
Corinne and Marc are super laid back and fun souls to be around! They met at a friends birthday party, and the party just never stopped between these two! Corinne and Marc are my kind of couple, their favorite things to do together are exploring new places and watching their favorite shows together. It is so important that couples have activities or hobbies that they can share together. Corinne and Marc's bond and affection for each other is so clear, it's a beautiful thing to witness! When a couple is comfortable and silly with each other, it makes my job so easy and fun!
Marc proposed to Corinne at a Christmas party during the white elephant gift game, how cute is that?! Corinne and Marc's engagement session took place at the Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park. We had to get a shot in front of Jumbo the elephant since their proposal was during the white elephant game! I can't even express how excited I am to document Corinne and Marc's wedding day this December! Until then, stare at these adorable engagement photos! :)
Photographing Charity and Chris's engagements was so very special for me! I met Chris in 2014 through a home schooling group that his mom ran. Chris is such an intelligent individual, he was already going to a community college by the time he was 16 years old. On top of intelligence, Chris is a diligent worker, and loves working on his truck. Above all, he loves Charity. These two started dating shortly after I met Chris. I've seen them grow together and make so many memories. I've watched them go to prom, graduate, and now-get engaged! Charity asking me to photograph their engagements and wedding meant the world to me!
Chris and Charity's engagement session was full of love and sentiment. Charity lost her mom when she was 16. She wore a charm bracelet with a photo of her mother on it to their engagement photos so her mother could be there in spirit. I thought this was such a classy and beautiful way to include her mother in this special moment of their lives.
One of my favorite parts of Chris and Charity's engagement session was using chalk boards for some unique shots! I had them write on their boards what they love the most about the other person, and was there to capture their reactions as they read the answers. It made my heart soar to see these two so happy and in love!
I cannot wait for their wedding!
I have always wanted to do a ballerina session, and Aidan was the perfect girl for the job! Ballerinas remind me of beauty and grace, both things I strive for in my photography. I met Aidan's mother through a mutual friend and we began to talk about this little collaboration! As soon as we started talking about our vision, I knew I had the perfect hand made head piece for it. We rented this Tutu Du Monde dress from Rainey's closet. I truly could not have asked for a better model, dress, or team to collaborate with. Thank you all for helping me make my vision come to life in such a beautiful way!
I would LOVE to shoot more dancers in the future. There is just something about the mood of this session that I am so drawn to. If you or someone you know is a dancer and would love a session like this please get in touch :)
Bentley and Lace has some of the most visually stunning gowns I have ever had the pleasure to photograph! When I posted a photo of one of my custom head pieces, the owner of Bentley and Lace contacted me and we set up a collaboration with a few of their dresses! I absolutely adore working with Elizabeth of Bentley and Lace and being creative while shooting her amazing dresses!
I can't get enough of the whimsical and fairly tale like gowns that Bentley and Lace designs. They make the perfect match with my hand made, custom headpieces and flower crowns as shown below!
"She dreamed improbable dreams, followed her heart, and created her own little fairy tale."
I am SO excited to announce that I am now offering princess sessions! I have hand picked dresses to be used in these sessions that range from size 2t to small/medium teen. I love putting my personal touch on sessions to make them completely one of a kind, custom, art. This is why I hand make sashes, flower crowns, and headpieces to match the dresses in my client closet. I have a variety of gorgeous dresses to choose from, featuring brands like Bentley and Lace, Dollcake, and Anna Triant Couture. The best part? Each sessions price includes the use of one of these magnificent dresses and accessories!

I am so honored to have been able to capture Stephanie + Mike's big day! I met Stephanie a few years ago when our boys were playing together in the aisles of Natural Grocers, we became instant friends! That is one of the things that I love the most about photography, it not only creates friendships- but strengthens them as well.
Their engagement session was in the Texas Discovery Gardens, it means a lot to them and was the perfect spot to get cozy together in front of the camera! I couldn't stop smiling the whole time, seeing Stephanie, my friend, so incredibly happy!
The weekend before their wedding day, Stephanie + Mike chose to do a "first look" meets bridal session! We had such a blast that day and ended up shooting for hours to get all of the perfect shots at all of the perfect places! More couples should definitely consider doing something like this! It ensured that they had plenty of beautiful bride + groom shots without taking up as much time on the big day, which means they had more time to party! It was such a special moment to be able to witness the first time that Mike saw Stephanie in her dress.
The Wedding day!! The wedding was held at the Ronald Kirk Bridge in Dallas, Texas. Stephanie hand built seats for 160 of their closest friends and family. Talk about DIY!! Their whole day was beautiful, but their reception was amazing! I don't think I've ever seen such an energetic and fun group of people!
A huge thank you to Stephanie + Mike for choosing me to capture some of the most memorable moments in their life.
